As part of an experience exchange with foreign companies, a large-scale tactical firefighting drill was held during the guests’ visit to the SOCAR Polymer plant. The purpose of the drill was to demonstrate the enterprise’s level of preparedness for emergencies, coordination among internal units, and operational response capability.
According to the scenario, a simulated explosion and fire were staged in the “Chromium Catalyst Activation” building, while the loss of consciousness of an “employee” in a rainwater drainage well was simulated using a mannequin. The volunteer firefighting brigade promptly, which arrived at the scene, immediately intervened in the situation, safely evacuated the anthropomorphic dummy from the well, and informed the responsible persons.
The Emergency Situations Commission convened at the headquarters and decided to involve the forces of the State Fire Protection Service and the Special Risk Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Firefighting units localized and extinguished the simulated fire, while rescue teams safely lowered anthropomorphic dummies from the first and second floors of the building to ground level and handed them over to medical staff.
The drill was highly appreciated by the guests, once again demonstrating the enterprise’s high level of emergency preparedness and the effective organization of teamwork.
