To support the low-income families of Sumgayit city, SOCAR Polymer participated in another charity event organized by the Sumgayit branch of the Red Crescent Society (RCS) on August 25.
To observe the health safety measures against the COVID-19 virus, the beneficiaries were arriving to RCS Sumgayit branch office in small groups throughout the day starting from 11 a.m.
The chairwoman of the RCS branch Matanat Maharramova welcomed the participants and wished them good health amidst the global race of anti-virus measures. In her greeting speech she also thanked SOCAR Polymer’s top management on behalf of the low-income families for the company’s continuous support to and participation in charity events for many years running.
For this event, SOCAR Polymer had prepared food baskets for 100 families. Each basket contained beef, long rice, butter, vegetable oil, ground sugar, and tea.
Families unable to attend the event received their gift basket at their doorstep via direct delivery arranged by RCS volunteers.
