JOB SUMMARY

 

This position is responsible for carrying out tenders, and bids as per requests received from internal stakeholders, evaluating tender/bid results, providing recommendations, negotiating commercial proposals, contract terms. The position holder will also be engaged with the management of contracts from post award stage till closing out of contract.

JOB DUTIES

·       Prepares drafts of contracts or uses appropriate drafts contract approved by the Legal Department;

·       Reviews vendor templates of contracts.

·       Conducts contract negotiations and coordinates such contract negotiation sessions to Legal Department, Finance Department, requestor and/or its line manager (where it’s required);

·       Requests relevant documents from the vendor or internal staff member (where it’s relevant);

·       Provides negotiation facilities;

·       Ensures that all necessary documents (letters of inquiry on contracts preparation, extension, amendment etc.) are provided by the relevant internal staff member;

·       Tracks status of outstanding items of the completed agreements;

·       Evaluates the main types of contract in practice and applies necessary contract conditions

·       Undertakes any other contractual tasks as requested by project teams or management

·       Liaises with project team to ensure work program and appropriate schedules are produced and maintained to support claims of the relevant departments of the company.

·       Establishes and implements project-specific contractual procedures, e.g. claims, variations, correspondence, notifications.

·       Provides visa on the final contract agreed by both parties in accordance with internal authorisation level;

·       Coordinates administration of contract draft and ensures compliance with this procedure;

·       Monitors and manages implementation and performance of the contract after award, where applicable;

·       Coordinates and routes the contract and subsequent documentation throughout the negotiation and contracting process;

·       Seeks for approval of final negotiated agreement;

·       These jobs are subject to moderate supervision

·       Subject to instructions and established work routines, under moderate supervision.

Education and experience

 

·       Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Law, Commercial or Business administration

·       Minimum 1-3 years of contract administration experience

·       Language skills: knowledge of holding negotiations easily and drafting the contracts in Azerbaijan and English languages is required. Knowledge of Russian language is an advantage
